WeatherFlow Consumer Applications

Since 1987 the founders of WeatherFlow have been creating weather applications to meet the needs of outdoor recreationalists. Here is a list of our current applications and development plans:

WindAlert WindAlert.com – WindAlert was the first application to be driven entirely by WeatherFlow’s Weather Engine.  WindAlert covers the entire globe with access to more than 50,000 weather stations. It utilizes scrolling wind graphs, forecast maps, nautical charts, HD weather radar, sea surface temp maps, and much more! It is Freely available via the web, iPhone, and Android. We are still developing this powerful product and today it serves as both an alternative and a companion product for our other applications. Soon the technology developed for WindAlert will drive all our consumer applications.

SailFlow SailFlow.com – December, 2012: SailFlow has been upgraded to be driven by the WeatherFlow Weather Engine. More information about what’s new in SailFlow.

iKitesurf iKitesurf.com – Our kitesurfing website will updated and a host of new community features will be added in January 2013.

iWindsurf iWindsurf.com – Our original application which is now a mainstay for all North American windsurfers will be receiving an upgrade to include new features and codebase while preserving yet improving the popular community features. This relaunch should occur spring 2013.

FishWeather FishWeather.com – December, 2012: FishWeather has been upgraded to be driven by the WeatherFlow Weather Engine. More information about what’s new in FishWeather.

The exciting upgrades to our consumer services is made possible by WeatherFlow’s powerful “Weather Engine” API. As the Weather Engine completes its first development cycle it will provide all features of our “classic” websites (as seen on WindAlert), we will begin to power the other brands with the new engine. We know that many users have become accustomed to the look, feel, and functions of the classic websites so we will make every effort to maintain access to these products.

We encourage your feedback and ideas to help our applications be the most useful for whatever activity you pursue.
